You can help make the world record attempt an even bigger hunger relief effort.
The Harvest for Hunger Committee expects to harvest 10,000 bushels of soybeans. Right after the harvest on September 30, the soybeans will be auctioned in small and large lots right at the sight. The goal for this auction is $200,000. All of it will be donated to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank because all the inputs and work involved in this harvest has been donated.
The public is invited to make this an even bigger hunger relieve effort by Donating a Bushel —$20.00.
Twenty dollars $20 can make a big difference! It can —— feed a family of 5 for 2 weeks (25 kg of grains, 3.75 kg of pulses, and 2.5 litres of oil), or provide two tools and 5 kgs of seeds to a farmer.
Donations of $10 or more will receive a tax deductible receipt from the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. The donation will be added to the total amount raised by Harvest for Hunger to help hungry people in the developing world.
